Intention

I want to make my research results more accesible

Nudge Description

Publish research findings in open-access journals to enhance access and information sharing, thus achieving SDG 17. Here are some recommendations to help you navigate the process:

  1. Identify reputable open-access journals that align with your research field.
  2. Utilize directories like the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) to find reputable open-access journals in your field.
  3. Carefully review the submission guidelines, publication fees (if any), and open-access policies of potential journals.
  4. Many open-access journals charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) to cover publishing costs.
  5. Ensure that the journal is indexed in relevant databases such as PubMed, Scopus, or Web of Science.
  6. Once published, actively promote your research through social media, academic networks, and other channels to increase its visibility and impact.
  7. Always read and understand the terms and conditions of the journal you choose to publish in.
